This week we finished our Early Explorers unit. The students learned about the important accomplishments of Marco Polo, Christopher Columbus, Vasco da Gama, Amerigo Vespucci, and Ferdinand Magellan. The students also practiced their world geography skills and learned some interesting facts about how North America, South America, and the Pacific Ocean were named. The students did a great job of participating in the classroom activities and learning the key information.
